Dolos is a concrete armor unit for breakwaters and shore protection works. This is a HO/1:87 scale miniature, of a 3 meter Dolos. The model -which is hollow inside- consists of 5 parts, which are easily clipped together.

Painting/Assembly instructions
Advised color code for painting: RAL 7023 (Concrete Grey)
No glueing is required.
1. Clean the main Dolos part with a soft brush
2. (optional) some light sanding
3. Cut of 3 of the 5 caps from the sprue
note: do NOT remove the cap that is the extention of the sprue beam that carries the other 4 caps, as this cap is to be used temporarily as paint holder of the Dolos! (see photo)
4. Insert the 3 caps into the Dolos holes by gently pushing them in; make sure they align properly
5. (optional) some fine sanding of the caps
6. Gently (!) push the cap which is the extention of the sprue beam partially in the 4th open cap of the Dolos (it should just stick)
7. (spray) paint the Dolos, by holding it at the beam (see photo)
8. After drying, gently pull out the cap with sprue beam from the Dolos
9. Cut of the 4th cap from the beam sprue
10. Insert the 4th cap into the remaining hole of the Dolos (like step 4)
